Anthony Ingargiola, who played Eugene in 2017's radiantly received Broadway Bound, will also return, but this time he will play Stan. Sarah will be returning to the Berkshires this summer to play Julia in A.R. Gurney's thought-provoking comedy 4th Wall at the Oldcastle Theatre Company in Bennington, Vt. The cast includes her David Joseph and her Broadway Bound co-star Amy Hayes, and the production will be directed by Tim Howard. Performances August 10-19. Sarah is THRILLED to annouce she has joined the cast of A Letter to Harvey Milk, directed by Evan Pappas, at the Acorn Theatre off-Broadway as the Female Cover, understudying the roles of Barbara Katsef, Frannie Weinberg and the Lover. From Nov. 27 to Dec. 9 2017, Sarah played Shanti in the 2-week workshop of "Blackbeard: The Musical," a new musical by John Dempsey and Dana P. Rowe, at Signature Theatre in Arlington VA www.sigtheatre.org. Eric Schaeffer directed, and we had a rollicking good time. Here's arrrrrrr marvelous cast and team of pirates!! Arrrrrrr!! Get it???? The show is slated to have a full production at Signature at a time soon to be determined, so stay on the look out for news and updates.
Next up Sarah returns to Oldcastle Theatre Company in Bennington, VT, where she previously played Aouda in Mark Brown's hilarious adaptation of Around the World in 80 Days. This time she'll be playing Kate in Neil Simon's gorgeous and moving Broadway Bound, the third play in his semi-autobiographical Eugene trilogy. Sarah participated this March/April in a 29-hour reading of Annalisa Dias' world premiere play 4,380 Nights at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA. She read the roles of Sarah Abramson/Woman. The reading was directed by Kathleen Akerley and overseen by Joe Calarco, Signature's Resident Director of New Works. Also starring were Michael Kevin Darnall, Jimmy Whalen, and Joe Carlson. 4,380 Nights will be presented at Signature as a full production as part of the 2018 Women's Voices in Theatre Festival.
