That's right!!! I also tutor Latin--as well as English (particularly Shakespeare), essay writing, and all elementary school subjects. I've been working as a tutor in NYC and DC, and of course remotely, for over fifteen years. Current and past clients have attended schools such as Fieldston, Brearley, Trinity, Stuyvesant, and Riverdale. I took Latin for 6 years at Boston Latin School (or Schola Latina Bostoniensis, as it is more formally known)--from which I graduated a Franklin Scholar, in the top seven of my class--and for all 4 years at Princeton University. I received 5s on both Latin Advanced Placement Exams, Virgil and Horace/Catullus, and a 760 on my SAT II Achievement Test. I specialize in 1st and 2nd year students who are struggling with the basics, but I have worked with students at all ages and levels.
As a tutor, I give personalized, one-on-one attention to my clients and quickly determine the right study strategies to fit their personalities and their academic strengths. I'm rigorous, but I'm also positive and extremely motivating. I have a proven track record over my ten years of experience and will happily provide references upon request. Several of my students who were considering dropping Latin in 7th grade moved on to take the SAT II!!
I am currently taking on new students anywhere in the world via Zoom, so please feel free to email me ([email protected] or [email protected]) or call directly (347-276-7141) for rates and to set up a session.
